After listing to this song half a hundred times, and account of a lot of the Black Angels songs being anti war a lot of them, I've always imagined the woman in the song being the US government. "I won't kill for her again."

Man I had no idea they were/are still together...saw them in Toronto around a decade ago, she's awesome on the drums.... dropped her name in a comment about female drummers...then I typed in Black Angels and here I am. They sound the same but maybe even better.

No pretense here and little irony... just a profound psychedelic aural journey. Alex Maas' voice is at once effortless in agony, melting into intonations of dark monotone. Of course he's channeling Morrison but then evolved from decades of underground expression. I really love this band because of the shadowed places I can travel to within the confines of headphones.

To those loving this, listen to Suede, seems to have been the inspiration source.
